Computer
The computer is one of the most important parts of your live sex cam business. You are going to want something that has enough processing power to run its operating system, as well as a few other applications that you might need. Expect to give Microsoft Windows at least 8 GB of RAM with none left for you to do anything comfortably with.
Webcam
When it comes to the webcam that you choose, you want to ensure it is the highest quality available. Try for a 4K webcam if you can afford it. This will give you a decent microphone, good video quality, and with the right choice and internet service providers and bandwidth you will provide an enjoyable experience to all of your horny viewers.
Some of the webcams available also come with a remote control that you can use to move, tilt and adjust the angle of the camera. This eliminates the need to have to get up and manually move it yourself which can really get in the way of the fun times.
Designated Studio Space
You also need a designated studio space. This is the space where you will set up your equipment. You will want to ensure that nobody is going to interrupt you during a broadcast. You will want to lock up any children, put them on a leash or in a kennel or whatever you do with children while you’re getting naked for money on the internet.
All jokes aside, having children or other unverified persons appear on cam could get you in trouble so it’s best to avoid it. Make sure people stay away.
Also make sure that you have everything that you need for your show right there with an easy reach in your designated studio space. This helps to avoid unnecessary interruptions and stagnant moments where you appear off camera and your viewers are left with nothing but a test of their patience.
Internet
One of the most important considerations, after the computer, is your choice in internet provider. You want to have both high upstream and downstream data speeds. High upstream speeds will allow you to upload quickly, which means your stream will have a higher quality for your viewers, with less buffering, no lag and a clearer picture.
You should also consider using an Ethernet or other wired connection. Wi-Fi has a lot of data loss as packets flitter about through the nothing, so wired connections are the faster and more reliable route. Wi-Fi connections are prone to disconnect, are plagued with packet loss, and generally provide an unprofessional experience for your viewers.
